Giants get second conference victory of the season

The College of the Sequoias volleyball team defeated Taft 3-1 on Friday at Porter Field House.
The victory gets COS back to .500 in conference play at 2-2.
Sequoias captured the first two sets 25-12 and 25-13. They dropped the third to Taft but defeated the Cougars in the fourth and final set, 25-19.
Payton Trimm registered a team-high 16 kills and teammate Cassidy Dolin had 14.
Valerie Vargas led COS with 27 assists and 4 service aces. Phoebe Todenhoft had a team-high 18 digs.
Next up for the Giants is a road matchup with rival Fresno City on Wednesday. The match is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. in the North Valley.
