COS 79, Cerro Coso 50 (Sunday, Nov. 30)
Less than 24 hours later, the Giants returned to the court and showed no signs of fatigue, controlling both halves in a 79-50 win over Cerro Coso.
Sophomore guard Mason Dorsey delivered an all-around performance with 15 points, 15 assists, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals while directing a COS offense that shot 52% from the field and recorded 24 assists as a team.
Kion Hayes led the bench with 12 points and three triples, while Cameron Kelly added 10 points. Jayden Abuyen also scored 10, and Zaquien Whitehead (Georgia) was strong in the paint with 8 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 blocks.
COS held Cerro Coso to just 31% shooting and didn't allow a made three-pointer. The defensive effort, paired with a fast-paced offense and unselfish ball movement, allowed the Giants to close out the road trip.
"Back-to-back games are never easy, especially with quick turnarounds and travel," said Jensen. "But we played together, moved the ball, and brought toughness to the defensive end. That's how we want to compete."
