COS Volleyball starts off conference play 1-0

The COS Volleyball team (3-0) went on the road September 23rd to take on West Hill College in Coalinga. COS came away with the victory in three straight sets (25-6, 25-10, 25-21). "It was a good showing by the girls" said COS head coach Kim Rix, "I was pleased with our effort." Gabi Crookshanks (Exeter) and Idalis Rubalcava (Sierra Pacific) both recorded double digit kills for the Giants on the night.
COS will now go on the road this Saturday to play perennial state power Cabrillo College of Santa Cruz and Sacramento City College. "These will be two tough matches for us. We are excited and looking forward to it" said Rix.
COS Volleyball will host their home opener next Wednesday night at 6pm against longtime rival Fresno City College.
