Bio
Coach Jain Tuey brings over a decade of experience as both a player and coach at the collegiate level. She joined College of the Sequoias Women's Basketball program in the summer of 2025, after seven successful years as Head Coach at College of the Redwoods (CR), where she built a strong, competitive program rooted in player development, accountability, and academic success.
During her time at CR, Jain led the team to a Golden Valley Conference (GVC) Championship, three State Playoff appearances, including a Sweet 16 finish, and was named GVC Coach of the Year. Under her leadership, numerous student-athletes transferred to play at the NAIA, NCAA DII, DIII, and professional levels, while many others earned Academic All-State honors and successfully transferred to four-year universities.
Before becoming head coach, Jain spent two seasons as Head Assistant Coach at CR. As a former student-athlete herself, she understands the junior college journey firsthand. Jain played at Shasta College, College of the Redwoods, and Humboldt State University (now Cal Poly Humboldt). Known for her leadership, she was named team captain at all three institutions and received multiple honors including GVC All-Conference, team MVP, and the Fighting Jack Award for her relentless effort and team-first mentality.
Off the court, Jain brings an entrepreneurial spirit to her new role. She is a licensed California Realtor and has successfully served clients in Humboldt County over the past five years. She plans to continue her work in real estate in the Visalia area while contributing to the growth and success of the COS women’s basketball program.
Tuey holds a Bachelor of Science in Teaching and Coaching from Cal Poly Humboldt and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Coaching and Exercise Science.
